Four mobile bar packages for Southern California events, from $795 for an intimate backyard to $2,795 for a full-service wedding, with Premier at $1,950 in between. RBS-certified bartenders, California ABC compliant insurance, and the entire bar program — included. The only thing you buy separately is the alcohol.
How many bartenders your guest count needs is broken down on the mobile bartender page.
Clients comparing mobile bar quotes in Los Angeles, Orange County and San Diego run into the same wall: nobody prints a price. Caterers mark alcohol up 200-400% and bury the bar line inside a per-head total. Boutique mobile bars quote a base rate, then layer in travel, bartender fees, equipment rental, cleanup, and an 18-22% mandatory gratuity that is not optional. Three quotes, three structures, and no way to compare the real number. We built this page to end that. Below is what every La Barra Co. package costs, what is in it, and what is never a hidden fee.
Pick by guest count and event length. Everything in the package is included at the quoted price — no surcharge on the invoice. You supply the alcohol at retail in your own name (dry-hire model); we bring everything else.
Not sure which fits? Text the date and guest count to (213) 752-1446 — you will have a package recommendation and a real number back in under an hour.
Half the price-comparison trap in SoCal is figuring out what the base rate actually covers. In every La Barra Co. package these are included — not add-ons:
These are the five charges competitor invoices lean on. None of them appear on ours.
Optional, priced individually, and declared on the quote. Common ones:
Four steps, no form fields that disappear your email into a nurture sequence.
A 100-guest, 4-hour reception bar at a Los Angeles catering company runs $35-$45 per person for a standard open bar. That is $3,500-$4,500 before service charges, before mandatory gratuity, before tax. The same event on our Signature package is $1,495 for the bar service plus roughly $1,000-$1,500 in retail alcohol in your own name (with returns on unopened bottles) — a total of about $2,500-$3,000. That gap, $1,000-$2,000 for an identical event, is the entire reason mobile bar is the fastest-growing category of event service in California.
Every package includes RBS-certified bartenders, portable bar setup, full glassware, ice, premium mixers, fresh garnish, printed cocktail menu, and setup/breakdown. The only thing you buy separately is the alcohol, at retail, in your own name. Our California ABC compliant insurance and California ABC compliance are included at no extra charge.
Yes — that is the entire model, called dry hire. California law allows the client to buy and provide the alcohol in their own name. You pay retail (materially less than a caterer's bar package), and unopened bottles go back to the store. We send a precise shopping list after booking.
No. Gratuity is appreciated but never required and never automatically added to your invoice. Most California mobile bars add 18-22% mandatory gratuity. We do not. The number on your quote is the number you pay.
Weddings: six to nine months out. Corporate events and private parties: three to six weeks. Peak holiday season (late November through mid-December) is typically booked out by early October. Quinceañeras and milestone birthdays follow the wedding window on peak Saturdays.
A 50% deposit holds your date; the balance is due seven days before the event. We accept credit card, Zelle, and company check with W-9. Deposits are refundable up to 30 days before the event, and transferable to another date within 12 months after that.
Travel inside Los Angeles County is included. For Orange County, San Diego, Ventura, and Riverside, we add a disclosed flat travel fee quoted upfront — never a per-mile surprise on the invoice. The quote you receive is the quote you pay.
Tell us the date and the guest count and you will have a real price the same day — not a brochure, not a callback next week.
