We bring the bar, the ice, the glassware and the bartender to your backyard. No planning stress, no coolers on the counter, no host playing mixologist while her own friends are arriving. From the backyard wedding in Culver City to the 50th in Pasadena, we show up, build it, run it and take it with us. From $795.
The intimate wedding in your parents' Sherman Oaks backyard, the 40th birthday on the Culver City patio, the Pasadena garden graduation, the Studio City friendsgiving — none of them come with a bar built in. You have a kitchen counter, a grill, maybe a fire pit and a lot of folding chairs. What you do not have is a bartender's workspace, the ice to keep 80 drinks cold for four hours, the glassware for signature cocktails, cover for a 5pm sun shift or a quiet way to keep the neighbors cool.
The default solution — coolers of beer, a bottle of tequila on the counter, the groom's brother making margaritas — works for a cookout, not for an event. Guests queue three deep at the fridge, nobody is pouring to the same spec, the host spends two hours mixing instead of greeting, and the cleanup starts at 11pm with a lawn full of cups. Hiring us is the fix. We build a real bar on your patio or lawn, we have the equipment that makes 80 drinks fast, and we leave the backyard the way we found it.
Four packages, scaled for backyard capacity. The Intimate tier is where most intimate backyard weddings and milestone birthdays land. You supply the alcohol at retail in your own name (dry-hire model); everything else is included at the quoted price.
SoCal is the easiest region in the country to run a backyard event. 300 clear days a year, mild evenings April through November, and warm enough through winter for outdoor service with a heater or two. Still, we plan for the two scenarios that go sideways:
Full LA County, OC coastal, and Inland Empire suburbs. We bartend backyard events every weekend in these neighborhoods:
Full package breakdown, add-ons, deposit terms and caterer-vs-mobile-bar math on the pricing page. Short version: Intimate $795, Signature $1,495, Premier $1,950, Grand $2,795. Travel inside LA County included; a flat travel fee is disclosed on the quote for OC, Riverside and Ventura. No mandatory gratuity.
A 6 ft by 6 ft footprint is the minimum for the Intimate package (one bartender, one bar). Signature with two bartenders needs about 8 ft by 6 ft. If you have a patio or deck, that is the ideal surface; flat lawn works too. We arrive with a self-leveling bar for uneven ground.
Yes. SoCal weather rarely cancels an event, but if the forecast shifts in the final 48 hours we move the bar to a garage, covered patio, living room or sunroom. We confirm a backup location at the pre-event call.
Yes. The bar has levelers for uneven lawn. We bring a floor mat to protect delicate turf and we never anchor into the ground. Pool decks, flagstone patios, concrete and brick are all fine.
No. Standard household 120V outlet within 25 feet is enough for the bar lighting and the blender if you add a frozen cocktail station. We do not need a dedicated circuit, generator or outdoor-rated extension — we bring our own GFCI setup.
We respect your HOA's amplified music ordinance and local noise cutoff (typically 10pm in SoCal residential zones). The bar itself is quiet — shakers and conversation only. If a DJ or band is on site we flag the HOA question before the event; most communities permit live music through 10pm with a 65-decibel ceiling at the property line.
Yes. The bar goes at least 10 feet from the pool edge, glassware stays off pool-deck zones (we switch to shatterproof for pool-adjacent cocktails on request), and we tether the ice tubs so a kick does not send water across the patio.
Tell us the city, the backyard size and the guest count. You get a real price the same day, a shopping list for the alcohol you supply, and a bartender who has already built on a hundred patios like yours.
