Half our inquiries here are couples flying guests in for a three-day weekend; the other half are groups renting a Vista Las Palmas or Movie Colony compound and needing a real bar for two straight nights. Desert events have one non-negotiable — the ice program. We plan volume for triple-digit afternoons, keep garnish cold and crisp, and build shaded bar placement into the setup walkthrough. You purchase the alcohol at retail in your own name and we pour it. California ABC law bars us from buying, selling or transporting liquor. We send an exact bottle list ahead of time so you can shop in Palm Desert or Rancho Mirage on your way in, or have it delivered to your Movie Colony rental the day before setup.
For 75 guests over four hours, plan roughly 22 to 28 bottles across spirits, wine and sparkling. Desert events skew lighter and longer — palomas, spritzes and batched long drinks over heavy pours. Sealed, unopened bottles are returnable at most California retailers with your receipt. We keep unopened stock boxed, shaded and out of direct desert sun through the entire event, then hand it back at breakdown, counted. No liquor license is required for a private party where alcohol is free to guests — California ABC only requires a permit when alcohol is sold. Palm Springs does have a separate vacation rental ordinance covering amplified music outdoors, curfews, neighbor notification, parking plans and insurance. Those rules govern your rental, not the bar, but they shape the timeline.

Yes. Every bartender is RBS certified, mandatory in California since July 2022, and we carry $2 million in liability coverage. The Parker, Colony Palms, Korakia Pensione and most Palm Springs rental agreements ask for a certificate of insurance naming them as additional insured. We issue it free, usually the same day you send the venue details.
One bartender per 50 to 75 guests, and closer to one per 50 with a full cocktail program. Above roughly 150 guests we add a second service point and a third bartender; above 200 we add a barback. Heat raises drink frequency, so at The Saguaro or Ace Hotel we usually staff to the tighter ratio rather than the looser one.

No. We arrive fully self-contained with our own water and a sealed, insulated ice program — no outlet, no hose, no sink. Private estates in the Movie Colony often place the bar well away from the house, and hotel courtyards at Korakia Pensione have limited access. Our build does not depend on anything the property provides.
Yes to both. We design two to four signature drinks and a full zero-proof list — in the desert we lean toward palomas, spritzes and citrus-forward long drinks that stay cold. Menus are printed in English and Spanish. Zero-proof drinks get the same fresh citrus, real garnish and proper glassware as everything else we serve on the bar.
