Canal houses in Venice (Carroll Canal, Linnie Canal, Howland Canal, Grand Canal) have unique logistics: footbridges only (no vehicle access to most canal-front homes), extremely limited load-in windows at odd hours. La Barra Co. uses a hand-cart system for canal house events — the portable bar breaks down into components that cross footbridges by hand. Allow 90 minutes for canal-house load-in instead of standard 60.

Abbot Kinney gallery and boutique events

Abbot Kinney Boulevard galleries and boutique stores regularly host private events — openings, trunk shows, PR activations. La Barra Co. provides discreet bartending that fits boutique aesthetics — our Luxury Marble bar is most-requested for Abbot Kinney. Street parking is permit-restricted; we use the Westminster Avenue or Rose Avenue lots for load-in.

Venice Beach events

Direct Venice Beach events (not boardwalk) require Venice Beach permit from LA County Beaches & Harbors (same process as Santa Monica beaches). Boardwalk-adjacent events on private patios do not require beach permits. La Barra Co. has serviced events at The Venice V Hotel, Hotel Erwin, and private residences along Ocean Front Walk.

Dry-hire bar rental (bar only, no staff)

If your Venice event already has bartenders arranged, La Barra Co. offers dry-hire bar rental: $350 Classic Oak, $450 Modern White, $550 Luxury Marble. Delivery + pickup within LA County included. Note: California law requires alcohol service by RBS-certified staff; dry-hire is appropriate for host-provided bartenders who hold their own RBS, or for self-serve setups at private residential events (not permitted at public venues).

Pricing summary

Venice standard pricing matches all of LA County: $795 Intimate (25 guests), $1,495 Signature (50), $1,950 Premier (100), $2,795+ Grand (100+). Add canal-house hand-cart load-in surcharge of $75 (covers extra 30 minutes of setup time). Dry-hire bar: $350-$550 depending on bar style.
